; JJSTECIAI. TO "THBrBESS.'M r TIMARU, November 25.An effort was made to-day from ' Cbristchurch to get the Timaru drivers to strike, but it was fruitless. The secretary of the union in Timaru could lake no action, as he.is.at present away on one of the steamers, taking the place of a striker.
