A meeting of the Gas Works Union will bo held at the, Trades Hall at 8 p.m. on Friday. : Mr M. J. Miller, the Reform candidate for Lyttelton, will address the electors in the-Gashmere Hills parish schoolroom at 8 to-morrow evening." The quarterly meeting of members of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce will be held in. the Chamber Hall on Wednesday, December 3rd, at 3 p.m. The Christchurch Rose Show will be held in the Art Gallery next Wednesday. At the King's Theatre on Monday, December 22nd, Professor Cardston will present a "dancing tour of the world," under the auspices 'of the Woolston Band. Tho Woolston Band Carnival rehearsal takes place this evening. A general meeting of tho Christchurch Operative Bootmakers' Union will bo held in the Trades Hall at 7.30 this evening. , St. Michael's sale of work will be postponed until after the holidays; A meeting of all interested is announced to bo held on Thursday next, >in the parish hall, at 7.30 p.m. The annual meeting of tho Canterbury Society of Arts will be held in the Art' Gallery to-morrow at. 4.15 p.m.
