(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEORAiI.) WELIXGTOX. November 20. In tho House this afternoon the Public Works Estimates were brought down by Governor's message, and the Public Works Statement was laid on tho table. In reply to Sir Joseph Ward, The Hon. W. Eraser said it was not possible to expend all the money votedfor roads in one year during that year. Sir Joseph Ward said tho Minister's reply to his question was the highest compliment that had been paid to him since -he had been in Parliament. Ho (Mr Fraser) had told tho House that it was not possible to expend in one ywir all moneys voted for roads in that year. That was a.complete exoneration of himself and his colleagues from the criticism levelled against them.
