At a general meeting of' the Chnscchurch Women's Christian Temperance Union a. resolution was passed asking for the better regulation of the traffic outside the gates of tho AddingtoShow Grounds on "People's _>ay."

Intermittent rain during the past fewweeks has materially aided growth in the paddocks on the Peninsula, and thero is an abundance of feed, and a consequent heavy milk supply at the various factories. Plenty of rain has. however, fallen, and a dry spell of hot weather is now-necessary to strengthen the grass and prevent rank growth. Cocksfoot paddocks look splendid, and given dry hoi weather there should be a very good harvest.
