It was then pointed out by the chairman (Mr Fraser) that the effect of these resolutions would be that the strike Avould bo off, and that all drivers would go back to work.

A motion was then proposed that the resolutions previously arrived at should be rescinded, and that the resolution arrived at on Friday night bo adhered to, and that all drivers, including the bakers' drivers, remain on. strike.

After a considerable amount of discussion, the motion to rescind was agreed to by a small majority. It is stated that the majority consisted, to a great extent, of young men who havo no responsibilities in the shape of wives and families.

The chairman, the secretary, and other speakers wore inclined to exempt bakers' carters, explaining that if the bakers' carters went out, the journeymen bakers would have to go outThe attitude of the majority was that either there should be no exemptions or no strike.
