D M«her was born in America, and did not commence riding in England till 1900. Since then his record has been remarkable, and though but twice first among the winning jockeys of the year—in 1305 and 1913 —he has only on two occasions this first year not counting) missed the first three, and his winning percentage has always ruled high.
