The Christchurch Musical Society will make a further endeavour to give tho public aad its subscribers something new for the final concert of tno season, by producing in concert opera form Bizet's opera ' ; Garmen." - The Society has not spared itself to make these concerts, which will be given on Thursday and Friday. 18tb and 19th December, an ■unqualified success, and has been fortunate to secure tho services of Miss Mina Caldow, a einger well and favourably known in London and the provinces, for the title role. A full orchestral practice will bo Held in the Durham street schoolroom this evening, and to-morrow evening the usual choral practice will be held.
