MR SIDNEY WILLIAMSON'S SONG RECITAL.
Tie last recital of this season (1913) will bo given by Mr Sidney Williamson, assisted by Miss Audrey Gibson, in the Choral Hall next Thursday, at 8 p.m. Mr Williamson has chosen a number of songs from the works of Edward Grieg foi special illustration. Henry T. Finck. the well-known critic and authority on Grieg, says: "His songs
contain the very Quintessence of his genius—a world of musical thought, taacy, emotion a lavish abundance or fresh melody, novel harmony, ravishina modulations, enchanting tone colour. Strange to say, most of his songs ar>> still unknown, Vo profe«io»;i!s ;us well as amateurs; they ar-> buried treasures, music of the future.
