STRIKE COMMITTEE'S ACTIVITIES.
THE STRIKERS' DEPOT.
Mr W. Ensom, who has been appointed manager of the strikers' depot, told a reporter on Saturday that he will be glad to receive any supplies the public may desire to contribute. Asked liow tho goods would bo conveyed to the store seeing that the drivers are on strike, Mr. Ensom said that if he was informed where the goods were to be picked up he would arrange for their ■ conveyance. He added thas it is intended to supply everyone out of work as the result of the strike—whether strikers or unionists. It will be necessary to produce an order from tho Strike Relief Committee, the location of the office of which will be duly announced. The Christchurch Fabian Society has contributed another £o to the Strike Fund, aiid- the Plumbers' Union has voted £23 in addition to a subscription of £2 16s. ' .The collection taken up at the Victoria square meeting on Saturday night realised £35 14s 3d for the Strike Fund. The contributions to the. fund received on Saturday totalled close on £100.
