A meeting of the committee of the Canterbury Club wae held, on The question of arranging inter-club matches was left in the bande''of the secretary. Mr Charles Clark pfe&ented a handsome art copper panel for. competition as the committee wished, and it was decided to allot the trophy to a drawing competition. It wae decided to hold a progressive doubles competition, confined to club members, on December 16th, also to hold an open progreseivo doubles competition, limited to sixtyfour players, on January 2nd. The treaeurer'e_ statement showed a satisfactory state of affairs. Three new members were elected.
