(By Cable.—Prees Association—Copyxisrht.) LONDON, November 20. Mr Alfred Drury, sculptor, has been elected an Academician, and Mr H. Hughes-Stan ton an. Associate- of the Itoyal Academy.
Mr Alfred; Drury, R.A., nvas born in London and educated at New Coll. School, Oxford. Ho studied in the Oxford School of Art, tho National Art ..Training School. South Kensington, and in Paris, under Daloul Ho has produced numerous works, including a marble bust of King Edward VII., in. 1903, and also colossal etatues of Queen Victoria for Bradford and Portsmouth.
. Mr 11. Hughcs-Stanton, A.R.W.S.', R. 0.1., R.8.C., was born in 1870, being the son of AVilliara Hughes, painter. He was educated at Corsham, near Bath, and first exhibited wotks in 1886. Since then ho has been a constant exhibitor at the Paris Salon, tho JRoyal Academy, and other galleries. Many of his works have boon purchased foV galleries in Groat Britain and elsewhere. . .
