AN INFANT'S DEATH.
(PRXS3 ASSOCIATION T«I.K!*AIC.) WELLINGTON, November 21. An inquost was opened.to-day on the body of the child found under a house at Eastbourno, a few days ago. Mrs Myall, of Christchurch, said her house was licensed as a home for children. On the 16th January she received into her home a female child about five months old, named Thelma May Davis. The child was token away by her mother on the 30th September. Witness visited the Morgue last week, and identified certain articles of clothing she had put on the child. Jn witness's ,opinion the chiH was a halfcaste Chinese. Witness could ! not identify the body as that of- Thehna May Davis, altough she was of opinion that it was. . .. Another witness gave evidence as to finding the body under a cottage at Kona Bay. ' The inquest was adjourned.
