RESOLUTIONS OF SYMPATHY. • . Boioro beginning tho business at a special meeting of tho i»xeeutiro of tho North Canterbury Tanners' Unioii on "Wednesday, a motion was agreed to recording the executive's sympathy with the widow and family of the lato Mr Lauronson, M.P», and expressing its appreciation, of the manner in which Mr Laurcrtson discharged his Parliamentary duties. '..-•■ Prior, to tho transaction of business at tho meeting of tho St. Albans Burgesses' Association on Wednesday, tho president (Mr A. D. Hassa 11) referred to tho great loss the Dominion had sustained through tho death of Mr G. Lauren-son. In municipal matters tho late Mr Lauronson had always taken a lively interest, and his. influence had always,- been exert«l in the develop- . ment of the couutry. A resolution of sympathy and condolenco was carried At the fortnightly: mooting of the \\oohton Amateur Swimming Club held on Wednesday night, the Chairroan briefly referred to the death of the patrou of the.club, Mr G. Laureuson, ■ and a motion of sympathy with HVs Lauronson and family was "carried.* At a meeting of. ihe vestry of All y Sainis , Church, Sumner. the following T motion was passed in silence, all stand" V ing- "That this meeting of the vestry W, of AM Saints' Church. Sumner, deeply J t regrets the death of the representative - - for this district in tho House of Par- '- foment, and sincerely sympathises - with Mrs Laurenso: , . and family in ■•. their bereavement." On behalf of the Mayor and Council, *ad residents of Sunmer, ,a telegram *as sent to Mrs Laurenson yesterday, expressing sympathy with her in her bereavement.
