WELLINGTON, November 19. The Striko Committee sent a letter to tlie Wellington Harbour Board's permanent men, asking them to cease work. The letter also contained a re-,, quest for permission for a delegate to"i address the men.

It is understood that th© "permanents" replied to the effect that they had no intention of knocking off work, and, further, the Striko Committee waa asked to put their statements in writing, as the permanent men had no desire to be addressed by any delegate.
