The Swimming Club has accepted tho offer of tho Methodist choir to give an entertainment in aid of the club's finances. . Her Excellency Lady Liverpool, m reply to Mr H. S. Boydell, the president of the Kaiapoi Horticultural Society, has promised to send an exhibit of work to the March exhibition. At a meeting of the Kaiapoi Park Committeo on Tuesday evening, Mr J. Bryden in the chair, Dr. J. W. Crawshaw urged that steps should be taken to erect a pavilion and grand-stand, with tea and dressing-rooms, at a cost of £300. While the committeo was in favour .of the proposal, it was decided to convene a public meeting at an early date to consider tho question.
