OHINEMURI LICENSING PETITION.

WELLINGTON, January 30. Evidence for the respondents in the Ohinemuri licensing petition was given to-dey by Mr Nathan, Returning Officer, -n-bo denied that there -was any confusion, in tho booth, or*i that the secrecy of the ballot was violated, so far as he knew. He admitted that a number of peopfc were excited, but saw nothing which, tended to influence voters. There was absolute secrecy at the official count.
