MELBOURNE, January 30.
The Prime Minister, commenting upon Mr Watson's views on the centralisation ot government, states that unification is not within tho bounds of practical politics. Ho thinks, however, that an extension of the powers of the Federal Government in certain directions is desirable, if not absolutely necessary.
