United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. THE TUBINGEN FIRE. BRISBANE, January 29. The fire on the Tubingen has been'extinguished. It is believed that 1000 bales of wool and 250 tons of wheat have been destroyed. ILLEGAL GOLD-BUYING. (Received January 29th, 11.55 p m ) MELBOURNE. January 29. W. G. Ashman, a leading business man of Bendigo, was sentenced to six weeks' imprisonment for illegal goldbuvihg. Two others were sentenced to four months for a similar offence.
