Tho _ Sydenham and Suburban. Cooperative Money Cinb hekl its annual shareholders' mooting on Thursday night in tho Methodist schoolroom", Brougham street. Tho president (Mr W. Tho committee submitted the following report for tho half-year ending December 31st:—"Your cemmittoe havo much pleasure in placing brforo you the statement of accounts for the six months end-ing December 31st, 1908. The share list closed iv-ith 1721 members, holclins 601-t shares. Tlk> number of loans granted ts-jia 190, amounting to £62i_G 17s 1(1. making a grand total advanced to members since the foundation of thc club of £2__,091 4s lOd. The present number of borrwrers on the lx>okii is 352, and the total amount of interest £1723 8s 3d. The total receipts for the half-year tvere £13.:)39 4= Id. The sum of £416 7s Sd has been disbursed' in- payment of accounts, salaries, etc., leaving a credit baianco of £1060 lis 3d. Your committee therefore recommend that a dividend at the rate of 9d in tho £ be udded to each complete 10s standing to members' credit on. December 31&t; that amounts over tho £100 receive dividends at the rate of 5 per cent per annum on each complete 10s for the half-year. That £25 be added to reserve, and £25 to suspense. That tho auditors, president, and Finance Committee receive the usual bonus-, and that the balance, after paying interest on deposits, be carried, forward." The report and balance-sheet -were adopted. Tiio officers -were all re-elected, as follows:—Mr W. Dalley, president; Mr John Brown, vice-president; Messrs G. AY. J. Parsons and O. JE. Jones, trustees; Messrs R. "Wright and T. J. G3<s-1-hin, members of Finnnoo Committee; Mr W. D. Marks, treasurer; M_- Tho_. Barry, secretary; Messrs Cbas. Foster and Mark W. .Woodfield, auditors.
