THE BOER DELEGATES.
TO VISIT BANKS PENINSULA. Mr A. Morit-son, of Dunedin, who i» at present at Akaroa, has interested' himself to secure a visit to Banks Peninsula from the Boer delegates that they might see for themselves the cocksfoot harvest and it* possibilities for raising and fattening stock. On Saturday, Mr Mordtzson received a communication from Mr Ritchie, of the! Agricultural Department, thafe they would arrive at Little Biver on' Monday next. The programme .proposed ia as follows:— At Little River the delegates should wite ness cocksfoot seed cleaning at Mr Coop*,. who will provide horse-. A journey will then be taken to Pot. Levy, where Mr Fleming will have a muster from his wellknown flock. From there the delegates will ride to IMr Thos. Hay's property at Pigeon Bay, to impact a herd of hi fat cattle. The party will theft be driven through the cocksfoot country to Afcaroa, where, it is understood, they will be &w* mally welcomed by the Mayor. On Tuesday a trip will be made across the harbour to Wainui, where the factory will be inspected and horses secured for the part- to ride to Barry's Bay, to overlook tjoe cheese factory and piggeries of Mr Roht. Latter. After which the delegatea will be taken to Little River in time to catch the evening train for Christchurch. Mr Ritchie will accompany the Boers on their visit htere/ Every means will oe taken to bring under the visitors' notice the qualities of cocks* > foot in the hope of opening up a market for the seed in South Africa. , .; A Napier message states that the Boer : delegates on Sunday visited the rmeyards - of Taradale, and yesterday inspected, the , Frimley orchard.
