United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—CopyrighJ, (Received February 14th, 10.47 a.m.) DISAPPEARANCE OF A BANK CLERK. PERTH, February 14. The sensation caused by the disappearance of McLagan, the bank clerk, heightened when it became known that the total sum missing was £9852.
[A cable message published on Saturday said:—"A clerk of the Bank of Australasia left Perth for Kalgoorlie, taking £2000 in notes for the branch there. He should have reached his destination on Wednesday, but there are no traces of him.] ALIEN IMMIGRATION RESTRICTIONS. SYDNEY, February 14. Captain Gibb, of tho 'steamer Mokoia, has been fined £5 and costs for permitting an Arab to enter the Commonwealth last month.
