THE MELBA SEASON
The first distribution of seats for the Meiba concert in the Canterbury Ha.l oi» the 20th inst. will take place this morning at Miiner and Thompson's. Mr Barnes, acting for Mr Mus-grove, has made all the necessary arrangements for the facilitation of the allotment of seats. It is understood that a public reception will be accorded to Madame Me.ba on her arrivel in Oliristcburch on Thursduy evening next by the Mayor and others. The date of opening the plan for the half guinea seats wiJ be duly announced.
