Efforts to raise funds to send a team to Bidey to compete at the Kolapore Cap meeting, met with a poor response. THE MURDER OF A CONSTABLE. (Received February 10th, 10.20 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 10. Henry Jones, wanted in connection with the ahooting of Constable Long, has been arrested at Ultimo. HEAT WAVE IN MELBOURNE. , MELBOURNE, February 10. Another heat wave struck the city, 105 in the shade being registered. VICTORIAN WHEAT IMPORTS. Victoria imported last week three hundred bogs of wheat from New Zealand, and two thousand from Adelaide.
