WELLINGTON, February 9.V , The following cable woe received from the Agent-General, dated London, 7th i&st.:—"The mutton market has been unfavourably affected toy the continuance of United States shipmente. The average prkcg to-day are:—Canterbury mutton 4Jd, Dunedin, Southland, W.M.E. Co. mutton 4ld, other North Island mutton 4|d, ttiver Plate mutton 4d, Australian mutton 4d, State* mutton 3sd. The lamb market is steady, the price for the new season's being 6)d. The beef market is very dull:! New Zealand hinds 4 e d, fores 3Jd. There has been no alteration in the butter market since last week. The cheese market is steady: New Zealand 63s' per cwt. '■"" Hemp: The prioe of "Good Mr Wellington ,, grade on spot to-day is £32; January* ,' March shipments £28 10s. Cocksfoot J seed, market dull. The price for Newt/.
