CORRESPONDENCE.

THE ENGLISH CRICKETERS TO TH» EDITOB OF THE PRKS3. Sir,—lt ie currently reported that the English crieketere intend to play the South Canterbury match with three Christchurch men in their team, in order to give their two professional* bowlers a rest. If this is bo, I wish to ask the proper authorities if they consider it fair to the youth Canterbury guarantors and public. Surely the desired end couH be gained by some of the amateurs bowling occasionally for more than half-a-dozen overs, when the weather is not too hot.—Yours, etc.,
