The first of a series of evening l sports, under tho auspices of the Ashburton As-ateta Cycling and Athletic Club, took phtce on the' ■■ Dca-mio Oval on Thursday, at which? there wae a very lareo ot tendance. The. County Band co-operated with the club in holding the sports. c.id a joint collection was taken >ui> in aid of both funds.
