Mr Copeland, the New South Wales Agent-General, addressing the Scottish Branches of the British Empire League at Edinburgh, said that the Australian nationhood was autonomous, and must be allowed to extent to judge of the desirability of an Australian navy. The . Admiralty would do good service if it provided Australian sailors with several months* training annually.
