At the Land Board meeting, held on Thursday, it was decided to take no further action regarding the origin of the recent fires in the Oxford bush, owing to the insufficiency of evidence obtainable. It was resolved to offer, in four Moctos, lands in Dromore township, on lease for terms jof seven years, nt upset rentals of 3s p*r [acre per annum, subject to certain coni ditions as to fencing, clearing, and laying down in grass., Mr J. T. Oboch,' who represented a syndicate, was allowed to withdraw an application for a coal-mining lease at Winterslow, but £40 was deducted from the - deposit to coyer. cost ot survey, eto.
