The Big River mine manager reports: — "Seventeen feet driven on reef track in No. •=S. level, making tho total distance for the week 51ft. The stona for the last 10ft has averaged luin from tho bottom of the drive to 6ft up the .face. Thero ia a piece of stone in the back of tlie drive with water coming from it. The walls keep well defined. sft apart, with sandstone footwall, and a haid slate hanging wall."
