''There was a large attendance at the Gerald me live etock sale, -when there was a yarding of 9000 sheep. There was a keen demand, and an almost complete clearance under the hammer was effected. Fat ewee sold at 12s 3d, 13s 6d to 14s 3d; fat. wethers, 16a Id; three-quarter-bred lambs, 7e, 9s Id, 9s 3d, 9e Gi, 9e lid, 10s 6d to 11s 6d; two-tooth wethers, 12» to 14s 4d; two and four-tooth, ewes, 14s; four-tooth ewes 14s 8d; halfbred sixrooth ewee, 14e; full-mouth ewee and lambs (all counted), 6a >Sd, 7a 6d to 8s 6d; dry ewes, 7s Id to 8s 6d; four, six and eight-tooth ewee, 12e 6d, 13e to 13s 10d; lambs, Bs, 8s 6d, 9s 9d, 10e, lie Id to 11s 10d; two-toofchs (Kelland'e), 14a 4d. There was only a fair entry of cattle, about 20 or 30 head being yarded. Two-year-old heifers brought £3 Bs, £4 5e to £4 9s; fat eteers,- £10 7s 6d; 18-monthe-old Holstein bull," 2 j guineas. There was a good entry of pigs. Porkers brought £1 Is to £1 ss; stores, 13s to 16s. The demand was good.
