SYDNEY STOCK SALES.
(Received February stb, 9.35 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 5. At the Homebush sales forty thousand sheep were penned. Primes were firm, and showed a slight advance; other grades were easier. Crossbred wethers, beet, 15s; good, 12s 6d to 13e 6d; medium, 9s 6d; ewes, best, 14s; extra, 15s; good, 12s to 12s 6d; medium, 9s.
Cattle were easier. Bullocks, best, £13 Eβ; extra, £14 12b 6d; good, £10 10s; medium, £7. Cotvb, beet, £9 15a; extra, £11 7s 6d; good, £6 15s; medium, £5 15e. Best beef sold for about 35s per 1001b.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company havereceived the following cable message from London, dated FtDiuary 4th:—"Tallow —Fine mutton and good beef are worth respectively 34» 6d and 32s 9d per ewt. There ia no demand fat edible sorts. The market is quiet."
