THE LATE MR. W. H. LANE.
There was & large attendance at the funeral of the late Mr W. H. Lane, which left liia late residence, Fendalton, for the Papamti Cemetery, yesterday afternoon- The services in t.he church and at the grave were conducted by the Rev. Canon Knowles, the Rev. T. A. Hamilton, and the Rev. J. Campbell. The bearers were Mr Beauchamp Lane, Mr Eluott Lane, Mr J- JThompson, Mr Charles Welle, Mr George Gould, and Mr Clarenoo Turner.
Among those following the cortege were Mr C. W. Turner. Mr Cfarence Turner. Mr F. Graham, Mr W. Hebnore, Mr W. B. Cowliehaw, Mr F. I. Cowlishaw, Mr H. J. Beswick, Mr G. Harris. Mr R. M. Macdonald, Jir H. CotteriU. Mr A. C. Rollcston, Mr H. P. Murray-Aynsley. Mr W. H. Hargreaves, Mr H. "31." Reeves. Mr H. Parkinson, Mr E. M. Turretl. Mr Richard Avlen. Mt D. Bates, Mr A. E. G. Rhodes, Mr J. Gould, Mr C. East, Mr J. Garland, Rev. C- H. Gossett. Mr J. Holmes. Mr A. Ferguson, Mr G. E. Way, Hon. E. C JStevens, Captain Hutton, Dean Harper. Mr W. Miles, Mr W. D- Wood, Mr J. M. Heywood, the Hon. W. Montgomery, the Hon. J. T. Peacock, and Mr H. C. Ridley, Mr A. W. Price, and Mr G. Daltry. representing the Chrifrtchurch Gas Company. Many beautiful wreaths were cent.
