BANKRUPTCY RETURNS.
(γ-ress association , telegram.) WELLINGTON, February 4. A return has been compiled showing the transactions in bankruptcy during the last year for ihe district controlled by the Assignee in Wellington. The district includes Wangnjrai, Ilawke'fl Bay, Manawatu, Wairarapa, Wellington, ]Vlarlborough, Nel. ■cm, and WestlajuL There were eighty bankruptcies during twelTe mentis on debtors' petition*, and ten on the petition of creditors. The liabilities in thw. -bankruptcree trere £35,348; the assets, covered by securities, totelf.ed £32,968. and those •which were not, £24,142. The amount in dividends was £5821.
