NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
The Imperial Rifles will meet after parade on the 11th inst. to elect a captain. The Rev. S. G. Fielding, who was locum tenens at St. John's, Latimer square, for some time, is on a health visit to New Zealand, and will lecture to-night at St. John's Schoolroom. The subject will be "Wit and Humour," as illustrated by Artemus Ward,, A special meeting of the Selwyn County Conncil will be held on Monday next, at 10.30 a.m., to elect two members of the Lytteltou Harbour Board. The Sydenham iSchool Boys' camp have donated £1 13s 44 to the District Nurses' Fund. The Matron of the Christdiurch Hospital acknowledges, with thanks, the receipt of rocking horses for the children's ward from Mrs Fisfinagan (Salvation Army Home, Aldington), and from Mrs Muthieson.
