TIMARU.
Our Tdmaru correspondent reports as fol lows: —
There k little change to report on titie Timaru markets for the past week, business being practically at a standstill. There ie very little wheat offering, and very little enquiry, although good, prime Velvet could be sold at 6e 6d per bushel, on trucks, Tinmru; Tuscan and Red Chaff being warts 5s 3d on the same basis. In oate there w very little doing. Good, bright Danish are worth 2s 6d f.0.b., Dune 2s Bd, Gortons 2m 6d, and Tartars 2s '6d—these prjces being for prime samples. Damaged and diecoloured parcels are wholly neglected. In bartey there is absolutely nothing doing, and only nominal quotations can be given, theee being 2s 9fl to 3s 3di for feed barley. Flour ie being sold at £12, pollard at £6 10s, bran at £6, and oatmeal at from £13 10s to £14 per ton in each case.
