CAPE GOVERNMENT AND BOND
POSITION OF THE LOYALIST'S.
United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received January 30th, 8.20 a.m.) CAPETOWN, January 29. Sir J. Gordon Sprigg, the Cape Premier, interviewed at Mafeking, denied that Mr J. H. Hofmeyer, the former leader of the Afrikander Bond, had shaped the Government's policy, and declared lie had not seen Mr Hofmeyer for two years. Sir J. G. Sprigg admitted that the Cape loyalists were being boycotted, though the reports in connection therewith were grossly exaggerated.

(Received January 30th, 11.25 p.m.) CAPETOWN, January 30. Mr Chamberlain arrived at Kimberley, and was welcomed with great enthusiasm.
