NATIVE LAND COURT.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION' TELEGRAM.)
WELLINGTON, January 30. Two important cases in the Native Appellate Court have been decided. In the Waipapa cane the Court dismissed the ap-ye-u\, upholding the decision in the former i-iisi-; in Hc-reheretou B. the appeal was upheld, aiid the order made in the lower Court cancelled. This is the most important judgment given in this district, i'l'A is v<rv f:ir-reaching in its effect, and will possibly revolutionise the decisions given in the Court in previous years. The business of the Appellate Court is expected to occupy on.y a few days, after which the judges sit at the Native Land Court. The Mohaka and Arapawanui cases will be taken tir.st,, and there is every probability of their occupying some time. Tbt cases are likely to be evenly contested.
