At the end of four furlongs Bacchus waa leading Fatty by a neck, Golden Jioee being next. With half the journey gone Putty, Bacoatra, Jewellery, and Frances Lovioy waa the order. Going along the back Putty wa» leading Golden Rose. Jewellery, and Okoaxi, but the lest named, though pulling herd, fell back Wo a 'bad position, and Stratlievon made * forward move, and at ihe bend had rua into third place. In the straight. Patty -w** leading, with-Golden: Hose and Jewellery Strathavon well out in the emirse on terms with them. All down the Straight * good race ensued;- Sferatharon gettting through and winning by, * good- neck from Putty, who beat Formul* and Matamataiharakuci by a similar tnaxgin.
