(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAMS.) WELLINGTON, January 28. Two Maori boye, .aged eight and four, were playing with tbeir father's loaded gun, a* Ohau, yesterday, and by some accident tie elder boy shot his brother dead. THAMES, January 28. The body of a man in a decomposed condition and with the features almost unrecognisable, was discovered near the cemetery close to Thames by come boys. The police searched last night, the boys being too frightened to show them the place. Consequently the body was not found until this morning. It is believed to b≥ that. of Birdwond, a bushman from Tairoa. The throat was cut with a razor he held in hris hand. His mother states that since an accident ha had b?en strange at; Cimes. He left a fortnight ago on a visit to his sister's grave. His mother missed the razor from home, but, though anxious as to his whereabouts, never thought he wGuLd commit puirids. f GISBORNE. January 28. At an inquest concerning the death f>f James Kennedy, a married man, who died Middenly at Mr Tombleson's station, a verdict was returned that death was due to inflammation of the brain. Deceived had been working in the orchard, and suddenly became very il!. He was removed to the hospital, where he died.
