A very euccesrful sale w;is held by _ Messrs Guinness and Le Own. PracLlcally tlie whole of the stock was sold, with the exception of a few high-priced dealers' lines of aged ewes and lambs and backward twotooths. Good rape lambe were keenly competed for, and changed hands at prices which must be very satisfactory to vendors. The cattle pens weie not so lull aa usual, but there was a good demand for all classes, most of which chanpd hands, cows in prout and springing heifers meeting oest competition. gheep —Fat ewes 13s to 14s 6d, fat twotooth ewes and wethers 16s Id, two-tooths (mixed .sexes) 13s 6d to i-.s 3d. ewes and lambs from 7s 34 to 11s 8d according to condition, six and eight-tooth three-quarter-bred ewes 14s sd, good rape lambs 10» 10d to Us 6d, cull lambs 8e 6d to 9s. Cattle—Fat cows £6 to £8, springers £5 to £7 ss, cows in profit up to £9, young cattle at late rates. 4 Yesterday Mr Jonathan Bourn, of Ranaiora, sold to Mr W. Buss, at a satisfactory figure, the whole of his English Leicester ram flock, about 88 head.
