(PRESS ASSOOIATIOX TET.KGKAMS.) AUCKLAND. Janutuy 26. J. C. Booth, the horse-trainer who broke his leg in a fall on ihursday, died laefc night. NAPIER, January 26.

Mrs Elizabeth Williujiis, the elder sister of the Hun. J. Carroll, w<l3 killed on Saturday, near Wairoa. The deceased was driving with aJiotJier lady, when the' latter alighted to open a gate. WAIROA, January 26. Mrs Williams jumped from the trap and fractured her skull, and died in twenty minutes. The Hon. J. Carroll arrived this morn-ing, and the luneral takes place this afternoon.
