(Received January 26th, 11.26 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 26. Woolford, when arrested, confessed that prior to the murder of Long, the other two
men who have been arrested visited the hotel, and he gave them an impression of the key of the «afe.
Woolford, Digby Grand, and Yeomans were to-day charged with murdering Long. One witness gave sensational evidence with reference to a conversation amongst the accused and a fourth nun who haa not yet been arrested, when the arrangements were made for a number of burglaries, including the hotel where Long- was murdered, and utilising a racing maiv for conveying the spoil. The witness alleged that he was asked to take a hand in the burglaries, but declined. Hie evidence ia not finished.
The police seized the racing mare, and ascertained that the owners lent the animal to Grand and a companion on the night of tha murder.
Digby Grand, who is a notorious criminal, was remanded to-day in connection with a recent extensive burglary at Pad-
dington.
