THE KING AND MR CARNEGIE.
Sonix; paiticulurs of what happened at the interview the King recently had with Mr Andrew Carnegie in Scotland are vouched for by a correspondent of the "Glasgow Herald." Upon greeting his royal guest Mr Carnegie exclaimed liow hozioured he was to have such a privilege. "Not at all," was the King's lvji.y, "it is an honour to me to know vhe man who is educating the world." While at tea his Majesty askfcd to Nee little Miss Carnegie, who on coming into the room inquired of liim whether be would like to see her dolls. The- King laughingly fell in with the idea, and the whole party went into tire nursery. When th<; King left he earned away two roses, the gift of Miss Carnegie, one for tha»Queen and the other for himself.
