The dredge was working half time in drift, the deposit of which waa larger than was expected. The Commissioner's Flat Company got 20oz Sdwt dor 100 hours' work. She was delayed during the week through an outbreak of hre, but there was not a great deal of damage °The lieviathan Company got 18oz ldwt 12 sx Apparently a much larger area of ttie claim hes been worked out than was anticipated, and the -machine will have to prospect tor herself a good deal. _ The Leviathan Freeholds Company 9 dredge is being worked by tributers, and the prospects of success are only vtry medium. The Three Mile Greenstone Company s dredge had a good steady run, giving 470z 6dwtT The lead is narrow but good. The Now Greenstone Company got Uoz for- thsir third return.
