FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, January 22. A shunter named Frederick. William Swift, employed on tlhe P«t.one Railway Station, was accidentally killed while shunting, shortly oefore midnight. A peculiar "feature is that Swift's body, was found dear of the rails. He apparently had not, been run over, though the neck was broken and the jaw dislocated, and there was a deep gash oa the side of the neck. No one saw the accident, and it is supposed that deceased was by something when jumping off the truck. . He was twenty-one years of age.
