i A comparative statement of the ordinary revenue and expenditure of the Timaru Har- \ hour Board for the years 1901 and 1902 is as follows: — Receipts, 1901—Wharfage on goods, £13,285 17s; ships' dues, £8997 11s lid; towage, etc., £321 3s 9d; rents, licenses, sals of material, etc., £1452 3s 7d; rate on harbour district, £6769 lls 7d; total, £30,826 7s 10d. Expenditure, 1901 —Wages, mooring, gas. etc., £3070 6s sd; offira and ordinary expenses. £1241 13s Id; sundry works expenditure, £7581 17s 9dj dredging, £6490 16s lid; interest on loans, £11,216 8s lid; total. £29,610 3s Id. Receipts. 1902—Wharfage on goods. £11,426 15s lid; ships" dues, £7394 5s 7d; towage, etc., £150 0s 3d; rents, licenses, sale of material, etc., £837 I7esi; rate on harbour district, £7006 15a sd; tvtal, £26,815 14s sd. Expenditure. 1902—Wag?s, moorings, gas, etc., £2706 Is 10d; office and ordinary expenses, £1219 18s Id; sundry works expenditure. £6409 Os 7d; dredging. £5270 18» lid; interest on Joans, £12,511 6fl Yd; totsil, £28,117 6s.
