SIR JOSEPH MONTEFIORE

Montefiore, the Italian Consnl-General in London, aged 81, and of Mehmed Pacha, the Gcvecnor of Tripoli. [Sir Joseph Sebag-Montefiore, X.8., had been Italian Consul-General in London sine* 1896. He was a Lieutenant of the City of London, and was born in 1822. He was a. nephew of Sir Mosea Montefiore, whose surname he used by Royal licence.] MR W. W. PERKINS, M.L.C.
