VaiUi Pmm Aj»oci»tion--By £leettio .. T*l«gr»ph—Copyright. (Received January 19th, 9.34 ».m.) SYDNEY, Januaay 19. Tbe Bishop of North Qaeensland, preaching at Newcastle, reiterated his warnings and appeale to Chratianue the aliens, as he did not believe that Asiatics could be kept out of Australia. Uβ aura believed that when the upheaval came amongst the Asiatic peoples, the line of least resistance would be found to be towards Australia. Such a thing might be in the very far future, but in tiie interest* of tholie that came after, it bad to be considered. Unless the incoming Asiatics found a higher standard of morality than they left beto*d them, the future of Australia would be one to bring tears to the whole nation. Hβ epoke highly of tbe Queensland Government'• treatment of the Kanakas.' A catfe message from Brisbane on January 14th said:— "The Bishop of North Queensland has returned from a vurit through his diocese. He declares ba is impressed with the degraded moral conditions of the bulk of the alien population in the north, and intends to proceed to the Southern States to nrousa interest in northern missionary work. The indulgence is vice is bo deplorable, he says, that common prudence oa£s at once for active steps."
