The dredge has been thoroughly overhauled, and is now working well. . The Trafalgar Company* dredge has eufleted more from recent floods than any dreiige on. the West Coast, the tace being completely* elM©a s tip. This w£i em tail a deal of dead work. A proposal has been made to turn the creek, but as other parties oi'poee it, some difficulty is likely to be experienced. The Maori Grclly Cdnipany, at a meeting, decided to liquidate. The dredge ie at present in a bod position, and is to 'be sold to the highest bidder. The Shellback Company's dredge onfr worked Sβ hours, taring a, breakdown, and got 16oz 16dwt. She is now -working with a loot of 'hard black eand -traeli at the bottom, Wihich is expected to give good returns.
