WISDEN COMPETITION.

The match, St. Mary'e v Papanui Cricket Club, resulted in a win for the former by 114 rune. Scores:—St. Mary's, 87 and 64, Papanui, 23 and 14. The highset scorers for St. Mary'e were Brown '(21). Cronin (15), Hart (14), Hunt (16 and 22)/ and R. McNomara (14), while McClelland (11) was the only one to reach double figures for Papanui. Hart, Brown and Sullivan for St. Mary's, and Derrett, Ford and McClelland performed best with the ball. •

Bangiora played Kaiapoi at Kaiapoi, scoring 99 (Wilder 58, Hehnore 11), and Kaiapoi put together 155 for 7 wickets (Clayton 60, McOregor 34, Blackwell 14, Green 14). The bowling' honours were shared for Rangiora by Wilson, Shankland and G-ulliver, and for Kaiapoi by McGregor, Clayton and Roll.
